Can I use these plates to plant corn?
No. Corn seeds are not uniform enough to allow planting with our planting plates. You can plant mixed cover crops, oats, soybeans and wheat though.
How can one plate plant multiple seed types?
It is simply a matter of knowing the desired seeds per acre, speed and the correct gear ratio to get the desired seed population. S.O.I.L. provides a chart with each purchase to help the farmer determine what gear ratio and speed to plant.

Will I need to do any changes to the current meter?
If you have the original brushes in your meter they will need to be replaced with the Kinze 2.0 brush. Another option is to trim the current brushes with clippers (hair clippers work great). The brush is trimmed at an angle from first row to the thirteenth row. Please call 419-366-7881 if you have any questions about length of trim.This will give good results but the best results are with the Kinze 2.0 brush which will be the only brush Kinze sells before long.
